A wave of criticism of President Jokowi launched by professors and academics continues to emerge, highlighting President Joko Widodo’s lack of neutrality, and setting a terrible precedent for democracy in the country going forward, including abuse of power, and an alarming increase in intervention by government agencies such as the police.
